Joey Splane
Joey SplaneLead Housing Navigator
Joey Splane joined Bridge to Home in December of 2016. She has over 10 years of experience working in the field of homeless services helping people from various backgrounds such as probation, foster care, and veterans.

As Lead Housing Navigator Joey leads all the coordinated outreach services and works to connect people experiencing homelessness within the system of services. Joey is there to help people from crisis, through resources and housing stabilization.

Joey has a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice and was previously employed by New Directions for Veterans, where she successfully provided case management services to support veterans to enter permanent housing.

Carlos Aldana
Carlos AldanaHousing Navigator
Carlos Aldana is a native of Santa Clarita and has a background in computer science and customer service. He began his work with Bridge to Home as a Resident Attendant working in the Winter Shelter and found a true calling to help people. Carlos has an extensive background dealing with people on a personal level to meet their needs. He believes great customer service leads building relations with clients.

Carlos’ role at Bridge to Home is Housing Navigator; where he will be participating in outreach events to touch base with homeless individuals that are seeking services in Santa Clarita. As a Navigator, he will assist with case management by meeting clients where they are and assist with crisis intervention.

Deseree Black
Deseree BlackFamily Housing Coordinator
Deseree Black has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and has worked with children and their families in a number of different settings. She has had experience working with direct child care facilities, Los Angeles Unified School District, regional centers, foster care, and counseling centers.

Deseree previously worked as a behavior interventionist providing direct support to individuals with disabilities and their families. Her goals there were to increase independence while helping to create a stronger family system. She also volunteers at a non-profit called Motivating the Teen Spirit which puts on workshops to help at-risk youth. The aim of the workshops is to promote self-esteem and help the youth reconnect with their families.

As the Family Housing Coordinator at Bridge to Home, Deseree will be the primary support for families experiencing homelessness and needed to link into resources from the Family Solutions Systems of Los Angeles County. She will help families navigate services from crisis to stable housing.

Olga L. Ruiz
Olga L. RuizHealthy Lives Case Manager
Olga L. Ruiz has been working in the social services field for over twenty years. She began her journey working for Los Angeles County DPSS (Department of Public Social Services), and after eight years joined the non-profit sector as a Foster Care Social Worker. Shortly thereafter, she joined the United States Army National Guard, and simultaneously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Management.

In 2008, Olga became an Administrator of a Group Home for at-risk youth, while supervising Social Workers at a Foster Family Agency in South Central Los Angeles.

Olga as the Healthy Lives Case Manager leads the work that is facilitated by professional volunteer dentists and nurses in our medical and dental clinics. She also provides case management support to people exiting the hospital systems experiencing homelessness and supports our prevention programs that help people stay housed in the City of Santa Clarita.
